Mother/Son Dance

Jack and I attended our first dance together.  His boyscout troop hosted a mother/son dance and we had a great time.  We made a special evening out of it!

I built it up for a week or so to make it seem extra special for him.  One and one dates are few and far between so I wanted to emphasize how special our time together was going to be.  He was extra excited about not having his siblings a part of the festivities.

We decided to invite his best friends and their moms over to our house beforehand for pizza.  We had papa John's and cookies and then we headed over to school for the dance.

Not too much dancing happened.  I couldn't compete with his rowdy first grade buddies.  But I managed a few special moments with him.  It was a sweet evening and a great way to kick off Mother's Day!

Jack is a fun kid and kept me laughing at his shenanigans!

Thanks for the date, buddy!

Spring break 2017

We had the most wonderful spring break trip. All five of us would agree that this was our best vacation. It was the very first time we stayed on the actual ocean. Our resort was so accommodating and absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. We had a balcony that overlooked the ocean and we sipped morning coffee out there and had an evening cocktail out there. The golf shore is absolutely beautiful.  And the sunsets are gorgeous. We had a resort style pool that the kids enjoyed swimming in.  And there were nine St Susanna families that all stayed in the same complex. It was so much fun to have so many school friends all over the place. The kids were in heaven. However we were still able to preserve a lot of special family time. It was the best of both worlds. And Grace was such a great traveler. We brought her bouncy seat and an umbrella to the pool and beach and she enjoyed the Seabreeze and would take many naps. We have such a soft spot in our heart for Destin Florida. We cannot wait to go back next spring break. We even treated the kids on a pontoon boat ride. It was such a fabulous trip. I'm still smiling thinking about it. Here are some photos from my phone that I have not uploaded yet.

Grant's soccer team

Grant had his first soccer game last night. He is on the same team as he was last year with his little buddies. He has improved so much since last year. Last season he would run off the field and want to sit on my lap. This season he doesn't want to sit out a quarter and is very goal hungry. He has the eye of the tiger out there on the field.

Grant and Freddie

These two right here… Inseparable. They truly are best friends. And cousins. And classmates. They really hit the jackpot with each other.

sweet girlfriends

Olivia and her bestie, Mia had a special date today.  Kelly and I took them out for frozen yogurt and for a Christmas gift exchange.  They were so excited to buy each other a Christmas present.  (Olivia is slowly learning the power of giving over receiving!). It's a beautiful thing!

Mia gifted Olivia an adorable emoji sweatshirt (from justice her favorite!). And Mia has the same one so the two of them plan on wearing them as twins to school on Tuesday!  She also got her funny emoji underwear.  Olivia's face was priceless!

I love these two sweet girlfriends!  They really build each other up!  It's endearing to watch!

Olivia's Christmas Musical

There truly is nothing more special than hearing a choir of young children singing Christmas carols!  Puts me right in the Christmas spirit!!!!  Last night we had Olivia's 2nd grade Christmas musical!!!  What a special evening!  She looked so pretty last night and she even put in a new pair of earings for the event.  One of her best friends, Kera bought her ruby earings for Christmas!  They are so sweet!

Baby Sprinkle for #4

I am beaming today!  Filled up with love and excitement for our new baby!!!  My heart could explode!  I am so thankful for my girlfriends who threw me a BABY SPRINKLE last night in anticipation of number 4.

Never did I imagine when I sent my daughter to school three years ago I would develop a sisterhood of friends as well!  I am so grateful for my Saint Susanna community.  My beautiful friend, Kelly Palmer hosted the most touching celebration in my honor last night.  I am so grateful for her friendship.  She inspires me as a mom, wife and friend everyday.

The evening was filled with great conversation, good wine, excellent food an abundance of gifts and a prayer dedication just for my new little baby!

Olivia was the special guest of honor!  She is so excited!!!

My favorite part of the evening: Each woman wrote me their own special prayer blessing.  We took turns one by one sharing each persons prayer.  After each woman read me their prayer they handed me a prayer bead to thread on a string.  After every prayer was shared I had a personalized prayer bracelet representing each persons blessing for me.  Their thought was I could take this bracelet into the delivery room with me so I would be lifted up in prayer for a safe and healthy delivery.

This was by far the best gift I received from the evening!

And then it was time to open the gifts for the baby!  Bedding, blankets, diapers, binkies, bottles and everything in between...

I am so filled up!  I am so thankful.  This baby is going to be so loved!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Grace

Tomorrow (01/07) you turn THREE years old!!!!  I cannot believe it!  You truly continue to complete our family and bring us so much love and...
