Every year, since we've been engaged, Justin and I have always hosted a New Year's Eve Party at our home. It's just our tradition, I guess.... and now people start to expect to come to the Conger's on NYE. We love hosting - so it's a win/win!
It's funny how the party has completely evolved from an adult couples party into meshing a bunch of wild families together. We opened up our doors again this New Years Eve and partied all evening. (Last year 3 or 4 of us were pregnant - so this year we had some catching up to do on the partying front!) Everyone brought their kids since it is so hard to find sitters and because - let's be honest - they want to have fun to. This year we hired two babysitters (Chloe and Eliza) to entertain the 13 kids in the basement. They had their own carnival going on down there. Face painting, flash light dance party, and a cotton candy machine. To be honest, I'm not sure who had more fun - us or them? First guests arrived at 7 and the last of the guests left around 1am. It was a blast! We were lucky to ring in the new year with some great friends - some old ones and some new ones.
